Chasman, it is too late, we keep your total count in a secret place, I would suggest that you read Dante's Inferno, some god tips there to avoid some of the nastier steps. >:D

Thank you, gandolph. You are like a grandfather to me.
Hey are you going to the Wild West? I'd like to talk to you about my inheritance.

(Note to Chief: see how I got this posting back on track? Pretty devious, eh?)

Chasman - you just need to get five more people to register - than you're devious!

So I have to prove myself worthy, then. I am up to the challenge.

I'm working on Leather in Red Deer to come along; he's seriously considering it. He picked his AV up this Saturday and is afraid to get it dirty. We've organized a meet in the backcountry in July to cure him of his worry.

Is Clutter-boy signed up yet? Or is he getting married that weekend? I'll e-mail him. Gotta go. Gotta find some more AV's for Wild WEst.

I feel so used ... Wait, I kinda like that

Now, now, goo, don't change the topic. If you want to talk about being used, then start a new posting. That's what we always hear.

Still only five registered Chief? Can't believe it! A preemo cruise like this?

Yup - only five (14 people). I'm getting worried again that Wild West 2002 isn't going to happen.

First, I figure as it's July next week that most people have set up their vacation plans. I know a lot of folks said "I'm going, I'm going," but they haven't registered.

Second, it's very hard for me to call up someone 60 days out and say, "hey, we're having this club meet over four days in two states and I was wondering if you would be willing to give me some swag or promotional material? You will? Great! Well we have five going. Well we're hoping for more. Well sure I can call you back."

I'll keep the lines open up until July 31st as promised - but I had really hoped to see ten by the end of June and 10 more by the end of July.

Come on folks - it's going to be one heck of a time!

Chasman,

I was only trying to help you keep this topic active. I would be there if I could. Don't be surpised if I find some time to fly in on the party at the last minute. I have been known to do crazy things like that ;D

You're a crazy man goo.
If you show up I'll let you sign my bumper with felt pen.......NOT! Not even for a news celebrity such as yourself.

I will try to have some Texas beer in the side panel for you. What do you recommend?

Six Avalanches and twenty people - but not for the full trip. We still need five more Avalanche's to make it official.

Come on fence sitters!

Don't think I'm a party pooper. I would love to do it but I've got too much personal crap going on right now and I just don't know if things will be settled by then. I hope you all go forward with the cruise and If I am able to, I will try to slide in.

:8: ?I'm having a real hard time beliving that more folks have not signed up for this tremendous opportunity. ?:8:

Were it not that I live in southern Mississippi ( and I have even contemplated driving up there to participate) I'd be there.

:0: Hey Chief, maybe a real nice prize to the CAFCNA member who drives the farthest to participate, will get you a few more fence sitters. :0:

If there are folks here in the southeast who want to put something together... ?well, I sure could be enticed to be there! ?>:D

:B: :B: AvZee ?:B: :B:

Thanks AvZee. With just 3 weeks left to register I hate to admit it but Wild West 2002 is going to be moved into the ICU ward. :C:

I haven't spent one penny of peoples monies, although I do have blocks of hotel rooms on hold in the club name. People that have sent me checks they are undeposited. I really thought based on the level of initial interest and discussion that this would be a hit and we could get ten.

As far as prizes I'm working on that but with limited turn out there is only so much $125 - $50 a head can stretch and still have a good time.

We'll just have to see what happens. It's short notice - hard for people to plan... :-[

So, I hopped up on the site last night to register for the WW trip and saw this post. Is the event officially off? Your "ICU" comment makes it sound like you're calling it quits, but I can't be sure. Looks like there are 7 trucks with 22 people. My registration would make that 8 trucks with 24 people. We do want to go, but should we register at this point or not? :cautious:

I just arranged for all of my job related classes to be arranged around this trip, finally I can register!! ;D I need the time off, and am looking forward to putting some faces to names here. So I'm going ahead and registering in hopes it's not called off. So this will make it, with you Fish, 9 AVs and 25 people. But I plan on "camping" in the back of my AV, just wished I'd won the tent raffle! :-[

They way I see it now is that if it's canceled, I'll just use the time to finish/start things at my new house! Closes at the end of this month!

Dub - are you aware of the new raffle? Not one tent but TWO tents being given away this time!

We'll have to see how it goes buddy - but right now Wild West 2002 is on life support until we get that number over ten - and over 12 technically. One of the registrations is for one day only and I'm still counting myself as one of the ten.

Ugh...it's a nail biter!

Yep I am aware of the new raffle, bought 4 tickets, any of the prizes will be great but I'm hoping for the tent and matress.

Now I 'm just like everyone else, wait for the last few that are sitting on the fence to go ahead and make the plunge! COME ON YOU FENCE SETTERS, GO FOR IT! We all know that this will be the best weekend, everyone and their kids/dogs/mother-in-laws will be out the next weekend, so lets all get out there this planned weekend and enjoy it all without the huge crowds!

If you were like me and waiting for work details to become solid plans, put a post up and let us know how close you are to being able to go!

I'm on the fence and boy does it hurt.

I'm trying to get my ducks in a row. Should know one way or the other in a week or so. :cautious:

When does the raffle end? I could use the tent myself :D

I know all about trying to get all them ducks in a row! I had 3 people on the phone yesterday to get all these classes work wants me to take on days that would work to be able to go on this trip. Only took about a month to get things in line! :8:

Hope it all works out, sounds like we need a few more people. This trip sounds like a blast! :D

Alrighty. We just registered. That should take the count to 9/25. Now, let's just GO dammit! :D

We need two more full-time registrations - or one more full-time registration and one registration for the second half of the trip and we're on. If we got one more full-time on top of that I'd be thrilled because that would be ten plus the Chief in the support Av.

Come on folks, just a hair more than two weeks left to register and we still need two more full-time Av's - we're so close to making this happen.

I know there are A LOT of fence sitters out there - this is the week to make it happen - I want to have to bring so much beer and goodies to this that I'm going to have to beg Fish for help in transporting it down to Crater Lake with me! >:D

I'll have plenty of room Chief. Load me up.

Y'know, I'd also heard the rumor of Goo turning up with Hooters girls. Must be true! ;)
