Post Pic of Your 2007+ Avalanche

All these Avys look great. I just bought an '08. And once I get these forum diapers off me, I'll post a pic. I guess that gives me more time to make improvements to it prior.

I keep coming back to see if whomever bought my 2013 is going post some pictures :) I'm sure, sooner or later she will appear.

Posted this in the other thread, be that as it may....got to link it here too

Here is my 2007....she just turned over 100,000 miles. Put a new transmission in it, new tires, new brakes. Ready for another 100,000 :)

Good looking truck!

My 2WD 2003 Z-66 Avalanche has 254K on it now and had 241K on it when I bought it last year.

It's still on it's OEM build of the transmission, for now, and the engine is original.

I think the way you maintain yours, it would easily get at least that much.

:) (y)

Mine is 2WD as well, do you find that a negative? The only problem is driving in snow....really bad, all over the place :(

I think 2wd is better way to go if you never need 4wd...

less parts to break and never have a TRANSFER CASE issues like may do... with the SERVICE 4x4 light

In the nearly 15 years I had this, maybe about 3 times I was caught in snow and had to be very careful with it. I'm a female, so I don't do a lot of 4 wheeling. :D I don't like to abuse my vehicles. That's reassuring to hear....

We do not get significant snow in my area but every 6-8 years, so 4WD is nice, but not necessary.

My first 20 or so years of driving was all done with 2WD sports cars and various 2WD trucks.

We have also had FWD cars and SUVs.

They also do very well in the snow we get in our area.

I do not off-road at all.

When I bought my 2004 EXT, which is All Wheel Drive, I already had a 4WD Ford Explorer if needed.

After I got the EXT, we had a rare 11 inch snowfall that lasted for a week.

The AWD worked flawlessly and I never even broke out the Explorer.

The AWD has also served me well on ice covered roads.

This past January, we got another good snow and I drove my 2003 2WD Z-66 since my EXT is out of service and the Explorer had been sold.

I had no problems at all in the areas I had to go.

If I lived in an area that received regular and significant snowfall, I think I would prefer to have a real 4WD.

But, for what we get, what I have works just fine.

Do you have dedicated snow tires? Even though I have 4wd I still put proper snow tires on in the winter. Just for giggles I've stayed in 2wd and really had no issues. The only place I've felt like I need it is to get out of my ski slope of a driveway if I'm to lazy to clear it. Proper snow tires often outweigh the 2wd-4wd argument.

I just put a new set of Continental Cross Contact LX 20 tires on. Took it out in the recent snow here in Denver...seemed to handle a bit better. Heading back to Vegas soon, so having 4WD is not necessary for me.

#4 Installed gloss black 20"X9" wheels & painted brake calipers (Looks like it's time for another treatment of the plastics up top. I'm looking for a more permanent solution here so open to ideas. I've notuced the product I use starts to run into the paint over time. I think I've seen where you can pick up Escalade painted uppers but not sure where to find them so open for thoughts here?)
