In addition to providing some adult refreshements for the Southern Nights Avalanche Meet Welcome Bags, Jack Daniel's Distillery has set up 2 Group Tours of the Distillery in Lynchburg, TN.  The Distillery is approximatley  47.88 miles from the hotel in Huntsville and is about an hour travel time.  The dates and times of the tours are:

Thursday, May 18 at 3:00 p.m.
Friday, May 19 at 10:00 a.m.

Additionally, for those not able to make either of the 2 scheduled tours, the Distillery is open to public tours from 9:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Tours last about an hour and fifteen minutes and start every fifteen minutes or so. Visitors are asked not to take backpacks, camera bags, tote bags, shopping bags or other large bags on the tour.

Due to Tennessee law, the White Rabbit Bottle Shop is closed on Sundays. It is also closed on the days the distillery is closed to visitors, as well as on certain holidays like the Fourth of July and Labor Day. However, we are allowed to do business on Election Day. So plan your visit accordingly should you desire to purchase Jack Daniel's commemorative decanters from the White Rabbit Bottle Shop.

Sign up for the Group Tours here.  Please list which day you want to tour the Distillery.

Thursday, 3:00 p.m.

Friday,  10:00 a.m.

Jack Daniels Distillery
280 Lynchburg Hwy.
Lynchburg, TN  37352

From Huntsville, Alabama, follow Highway 231 North to Fayetteville, pick up Route 64, and then take Highway 50 to Lynchburg. When you get here, the distillery is easy to spot. Drive through Lynchburg and the entrance into our Visitor Center parking area is two blocks past our only stoplight, right off Highway 55 next to the Mulberry Creek Bridge.

I suspect once people get there they'll decide on whether to go Thursday or Friday.  You know the kinda laid back group we are.  I know the Texans were planning on visiting Jack.

We are going but haven't decided on what time we are going.

This is a first class tour of a beautiful facility, although a bit tough on bad knees.

The drive is short and very beautiful.

Try to make the tour, everyone.

Not going to miss this for sure. Got to see by traveling companions home.

I'm thinking it's going to be the Friday tour since some of the Texas group will still be arriving on Thursday. This way we can wait for the rest of the Texas bunch and be able to do the tour then have lunch and make it back in time to catch some of the Av drag's at the raceway.

I need to firm up the numbers for each tour with the Jack Daniels Visitor center.  Please post up which tour you want to take so that I can let them know.

I would be down for the thurs spot!

10 AM fri is too early to be thinking about booze... although it is a friday... haha

I went to the Jack Daniel's web site today and here is the pic of the tour group that we were in on Thursday.
