Emissions Canister Vent Solenoid Valve Replacement

I am trying to replace my vent valve (the one by the rear spare tire). I was able to find same one that I have now (AC 214-1091 or 15759044).

My question is how do I remove the old one. I can't figure out how to remove the vent tube. Is there a special tool to remove this? Also how do you remove the old one from the bracket?

I see you posted this yesterday so you may have figured it out already but you stick a small bladed screwdriver in between the flanges while pulling on the hose. there are two clips orthogonal to each other (180 degrees apart) that angle inward to hold onto the small flange on the hose fitting. I recently replaced mine with an OEM AC Delco part I found on Amazon for about $18. I still have a strong vacuum in the gas tank and the P0455 code is still flashing. Replaced the gas cap as well. No luck.

1 a :  intersecting or lying at right angles
b :  having perpendicular slopes or tangents at the point of intersection <orthogonal curves>
2
:  having a sum of products or an integral that is zero or sometimes one under specified conditions: as
a of real-valued functions :  having the integral of the product of each pair of functions over a specific interval equal to zero
b of vectors :  having the scalar product equal to zero
c of a square matrix :  having the sum of products of corresponding elements in any two rows or any two columns equal to one if the rows or columns are the same and equal to zero otherwise :  having a transpose with which the product equals the identity matrix
3
of a linear transformation :  having a matrix that is orthogonal :  preserving length and distance
4
:  composed of mutually orthogonal elements <an orthogonal basis of a vector space>
5
:  statistically independent

Just wanted to help clear that up for everyone that ISN'T  a nuclear physicist...  (y)

You're :welcome:

Ok thanks. I have not replaced mine. My SEL light is gone for now so I will wait for now. Just wanted to make sure there were no special tools required.

455 code is "large leak in system". I'm just thinking out loud but I'm thinking possibly a failed fuel tank pressure sensor.

I've had the same problem listed in the thread for a while now.  I just replaced the canister and the solenoid in the rear and I was going to replace the purge valve on the intake.  Has anyone else done this and are there any issues with the replacement purge valve not being exactly the same as the original purge valve?  My original purge valve has a schrader valve on it along with a vacuum line port, the electrical connection, and the plug for the intake hole.  The replacement part I got online does not have the schrader valve.  I went to the dealer to see what they sell and their part doesn't have a schrader valve either.  Anyone know if there is an issue with replacing the original purge valve with one that does not have a schrader valve?  Thanks.
