2013 Worldwide Chevy Avalanche Get Together - EVENTS SCHEDULE

All events are optional and times may vary slightly.
There will be plenty of things to do if you do not want to do any of the posted events.
Times are approximate, but will try to keep to the schedule as closely as possible for those coming locally for certain events.
All info on venues with pricing, local restaurants and locations with reviews when possible will be in the next post.

THURSDAY  JULY 25

6 pm: Early Arrivals are welcome to attend dinner at
Ruzzines Rock Bottom 6261 Transit Rd, East Amherst, NY
after dinner mini modding session at the hotel.

FRIDAY       JULY 26

10 am Meet in Hotel lobby for those going to Martin's Fantasy Island

1 pm - 6 pmOptional events- Sightseeing / Tourist Attractions / Clifton Hill

I have never been to an Avalanche get together...can someone tell me what goes on at these events, what to expect, and do people bring there kids? Any info would be greatly appreciated. Live in Ontario so going to Niagra Falls shouldn't be a problem.

This one will be family friendly with a chance to go to the amusement / water park, go carts, laser tag and a trip to Clifton Hill on Saturday.

Just waiting for a couple replies from the venue to post the schedule

Generally at GTG's (get togethers) we "talk trucks" showing what we have done and discussing what we would like to do with our Avs.
Also, if you have any questions about anything, getting answers in person is a great way to go.

Certainly bring the kids. 
DouglasOak will have more info coming, but at these larger events there is usually something family/kid oriented to do.

Also, if there is a Polish Princess, bring her too.
That way she can see that being "obsessed" with the Av is normal with this group.

I brought my mom to my first gtg  Okay she brought me because I didn't quite have my license yet  It's definitely a family club! Mom and I have made coming to GTG's our "thing". Perfect parent-child bonding time! Dad never showed much interest so nobody has ever seen him  many claim his nonexistence.  Gold Bowtie can vouch for that. It's an extremely fun time no matter what goes on! The avalanche club is a great bunch of people no matter what region you come from 

psst ... I have a poker set if we would like to play poker one night .....

Only if we bet for trucks!

....sigh....... I miss all the great times and great memories that were made at these events, and on this forum.... time might have taken my Avalanche, but hopefully it will never take the fond memories in my head and heart of all the people here that welcomed us into their family.

Grumpy .... I'm thinking Lasertron .... is Laser Tag? ...

and modding = modding your truck ... any work you do on your truck is modding ... adding lights ... strobes ... switch .... 12v plugs ... bed slide .... DVD player ... train horns ... that is modding .... you will see people gathered together around trucks helping each other out with stuff they are trying to install on there truck

I'm sure people will be wanting to check out my horns ....  .... I have 5 horns from an actual train on my truck  .... check the train horn thread and you will see a pic of them right after I bought them in my back seat .....
