It was a long wait for the modified 80E with SFI bellhousing and transbrake, but the '04 AV is finally up and running again.  I decided to go 2WD this time due to concerns regarding the strength of the front drivetrain.  Removed the transfer case, front diff, driveshaft and support bracket, and swapped the 4WD front hubs for 2WD units...all in all only a 230lb weight savings.  Of course a new 5" aluminum rear driveshaft was required as well as some more modifications to the trans support.

Here are a few pics:

Here's a phone clip of the first startup in a long time

I'll post a couple of other mods I did while waiting for the trans in the Forced Induction section.

Very nice DrX I bet the 4wd was scary trying to launch off the line.

Nice!

So, you put a 7.0L engine and a 4l80 in a 1500?  How much lift do you have?

Correct.  GMPP LSX block, ETP LS7 style 6 bolt/cylinder heads, Callies crank, etc. built to 429 ci.

Suspension was stock Z71.  Just installed a Belltech 1/3 drop.... no pics yet.

DrX has a amazing AV twin superchargers, it spins all wheels all the way down the 1/4.

There is a video on you tube.

I think this is it.

Oh, I love the whine in the engine.  Wonder if any Honda Civics have tried to take you on yet.
