2008 LTZ AV with newly installed Fisher HT (half ton) plow.  This plow is a full blow plow (ie, not plastic homesteader etc) made specifically for light duty 1/2 ton vehicles (1/2 the weight as standard, with hydraulic lock etc).  I have done alot of research and people have installed them on much smaller vehicles without issue.

Before some people start blasting how I will kill the truck, I will only be using this for 3-4 driveways that I don't want to shovel/snow blow any longer.  No comerical use, light duty only.

I seached everywhere for photos of AV's with plow and barely found any.  I have seen several older model's (1500's) with plow installed but not much on the web.  Figured I would start a post providing some info and looking for others to post info/photos.

Nice job!  Good to see some pics of an Avy with some steel on the front.  A couple of years ago I upgraded from a 03 1500 Avy z71 to a 04 2500 Avy.  What a difference!  Made the swap just to be able to plow comfortably.  Lets see some more rigs!

Well, we recieved our first decent snowfall this weekend here in MA/RI.  Around 5" on Friday and 7" on Sat.  I was finallyI figured I would post some video on my Avalanche with my Fisher HT Plow.  Overall, I think this plow is perfect for this truck.  This is my parking lot security video of my building.  This is my first time plowing, made very short work of it.  Having said that, I took my time and got quicker with the controls as I went.

I plowed (3) driveways and my building lot. I have no intention of doing much more than this, but the HT plow is solid and does a great job backdragging with the hydraulic lock.

Food for thought.  I found very little info when I was looking so I figured this might be of value to someone.

looks like it works pretty darn good.  If I had that much area to plow I would definitely be looking into something similar.

I am trying to contact snadams. I just recently purchased a 2008 Avalanche and I am running into snags putting on the snow plow. In particular, i have an older minute mount 1 and the lower bar on the plow frame pushes the lower bumper where the license plate is up almost vertical. If anyone has any suggestions or helpful info my email is mikem@mgroup3.com

Thanks

I'm back.   I get busy some times with other hobbies....  I just left a message in your other thread as well.

Side note, I live up in NE and we have been getting hammered.  With the blizzard recently we got 30" of snow with drifts up to 42".  I had no issues and love the HT.  I would recommend it to anyone.  I do not do commerical (for others), I only plow family and my own commerical lot (24 cars).  Plowed/stacked like a champ.  I took it slow and steady as this was the first major storm since I had it installed.  I wish I had video, power went down at my office and my security camera's went down.

I couldnt be happier that your back....for  strictly business purposes lol.  Im that close to purchasing a 2011 AVY Z71 and was going to put my HT series plow on it.  noticed you seem to be the only one who has a plow on a newer generation truck.  i have a handful of questions.
1) how did u run your cables from the grill to the plow looks like they come from behind your license plate.
2) how much trimming of lower bumper is needed for plow mounts?
3) how is it for plowing, not so much in the sense of power but more for mobility/tight turning
4) any advice or suggestions for some one who is looking to put same plow on similar vehicle
5) do u notice a big dip in front end when plow is raised

snadams:  if you could PM me i have few questions about your plow set up.  or email me at dmjt55@aol,com. i live in the boston area and more snow is coming tonight.  thanks

1) I paid for install; they cut a hole in the area above the plate (short horizontal section. Cables slide through.  I did hear a better way for next time.  I heard someone cut a hole behind the plate, and placed the plate on a hinge.  That way the cables are completely hidden and protected when not in use, which is 99% of the time.
2) Not too much, just the area directly below the tow hooks.  Not that noticeable unless your really looking.  They also offer a ?bull bar? that connects to the push plates for a custom look.
3) No issues at all, actually I plowed all 3 of my driveways and my small commercial lot after our 30? blizzard with no issues.
4) I like it a lot, only suggestion is the cables behind the plates.  I don?t care for the HT jack, it falls down sometimes.  I complained and its basically a known issue.    Need to drive slow on the highway so the engine does not get too hot, but that?s fairly typ with any truck plow.
5) Only a 1/2 ? dip as shown in the photos.
