My '08 Z71. 6'' pro comp lift, 18'' procomp wheels, and 35'' Xtreme all terrain tires.  These tires are less noisy than stock tires.  Any suggestions on exhaust?  I don't want to just go to some muffler shop.

Does anyone know where to get the black bow tie?
I also have a pro comp programer and they always say that you can get better gas mileage, Does anyone know the best settings for those?

That's a mean looking Av you got there, Fitzav08... Very nice... (y)

Love the use of the black wheels... With the lift, the look is intimidating and says "Don't F$%& with me or..."

Regarding the exhaust, do you want to go loud? Duals, one on each side or same side? It depends on what you want and how loud. I have the FM50 SUV on my Av and the tone is just right. Plus I don't have to yell when I talk with my passengers. Here's a YouTube link to my Av and the FM50, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CKbBX_IuzyQ... (NOTE: It's a single in, single out muffler with twin tips, not a true dual...)

I also had a Magnaflow on my Durango 5.9l R/T and that sounded awesome too. IMO, I don't think you'll go wrong with either FM or Magnaflow.

Just make sure to have pics once you have your exhaust installed... Good luck with your decision!

Looks great (y)

Looks fantastic! How high is it to the top edge of the roof cross bars? You should know this for parking garage ceiling clearance. I just want to see the height difference of Pro Comp's kit  to my Fabtech kit which sits at 7 foot 1 inch.  ???  I have a Magnaflow single exhaust on mine.

FITZAV,
I was actually looking at a set of those Pro Comps or a similar set of Moto Metal wheels in the exact same size.  I like the blacked out look with machined accents.  How much cutting did they have to do, and where, in order to fit those 35's?

Thanks,
Scott

Well I'm pretty sure it's 6 ft. 9 or 10 inches to the racks.  Those racks have already seen the top of a parking garage. It wasn't pretty.

They didn't have to cut much off.  They cut about a 1.5 - 2 inches of the plastic under the wheel well.  There was no body cutting at all.

yours should be a little taller i think.  mine is just under 7' and i only have a 4" lift with 33's.  lets put it this way:  mine rubs on parking garage ceilings at 7' with my surf racks on.

Hey man, awsome truck. Do you have any pics of the front wheel well, I was just wanting to see how much of the front bumper you had to cut to clear those 35's or if you didn't have to cut anything? I am looking at getting a 6" procomp lift for my 08 and I want 35's but don't want to have to cut too much. Also how is the ride with the lift compared to factory?

does your truck sit level because the pro comp is a 6 front 4 rear did you have to get spacers for the rear

Got a Black 08 z71. How much did the whole setup run you? And, how long? Lift, wheels, and tires installed.
I'm wanting to do the same.

Yeah, this is almost identical to what I want to do on my '11.

One of the best looking ones I've seen so far.

How's the lift working out?  It's so damn subjective and trying to research is almost impossible because of all the variables along.

I am such a lift noob that I don't even know what the difference between stage 1 and stage 2 is.  Yes I've googled it.  No help.  Looks like the more expensive pro-comp kit comes with a driveshaft?

There's two ProComp 6" lift kits.  One appears to come with a drive shaft.  The website describes them identically.  Only difference is the picture and the price.

Update: I searched and searched and found nothing.  Called Pro-Comp.  K1142B comes with a front drive shaft for use on Autotrac-equipped trucks (like mine).  So there you go.  Now, if someone searches, like everyone says to, they might actually find the answer.

It also looks like Pro-Comp updated their site.  Still, it doesn't have this important information.  Oh well, it's not like it's hard to update the description.  Oh, speaking of that, the description says it uses rear leaf springs.  Yeah... Ok...

Very nice Z71. I have a '10 Z71 and my fingers are crossed to get the RC 7.5" for Christmas, lol. So this being a 6" lift on 35"s with minimal cutting, I don't think I'll have to do any with a 7.5" I hope, lol.

Great looking truck.

I have a 2009 with a 7.5" RCX lift and 35x14.50s on stock tires with 2" wheel spacers. This week I am going to be going up to 37s. But I have slightly more clearance on the front bumper than most
