:)I just bought an '03 with xm radio. I was debating activation when I found a 3 month free ($9.95 month)promotion plus free activation ($14.95). Promotion is for ASCAP members, who must only mention "ASCAP" to qualify. Since activating I LOVE IT! 100 channels of news, comedy, talk radio, oh and music. A lot are commercial free. Check it out.....

What is the display like in the new Av's? Anyone have any pics of the new set-up? How many character display does it have? I'm assuming all the XM stations have titles not just numbers?

The display is nice. Correct... it shows the number/title. IE #2 - The 40's, #3 - The 50's etc... Thank god the controls are on the steering wheel, it takes forever to scroll through the 100+ channels.

What amazed me was I was totally in my garage (nose in), and just prior to closing the door and I still had a strong signal. Not like DSS where heavy cloud/rain/trees kill the signal. The $9.95 is a little much to swallow, considering the $399 annually they get you for onstar and the $.50 a minute for the onstar phone. These surcharges add up. But 'ya got love it.

I love XM radio.....

I like the remote that came with my SONY.....

Also, when a song is playing, you can push the RCL knob - lower left round knob- sometimes you have to push it twice, and the display will list the jname of the artist, then the name of the song, then the format of the music (country, rock, etc.).

The XM radio works great! I took the AV to central Pennsylvania last weekend and the XM only lost signal 3 times for less than 3 seconds each. Unlike a regualr FM signal, the XM signal is either great sounding or completely off - no static or fade. I love it!
