Ive been craving to jack my truck up a little bit now for the past year...ive been rolling around on 22s and it just dosent do it for me with the loser stearing and driving all over the state for work...so i figured I would go with a 3" body lift but the question is can i run my stock wheels and tires with the body lift and still hold up ok, I want the stock feel back to the truck...or are there any wheels that arent too big like a 285 or somthing that I could put on without jacking up my gas milage...and if i do a body lift are there any other things I could do to stiffen the truck up in turns or does it hold up ok with the body lift? thanks for your time and reading

Yes you will still be able to run stock rim and tire.
Some might say it will look funny. But every one has a opinion!

For handling look into after market sway bar kit(hellwig oh Hotckis) also urethane bushings

Thanks for the info, I prob would upgrade tires...im looking for somthing with more street then road to it...just a tad of offroad in the wheel...whats the basic size people are running in a 17? like a 285 or 295? which would be the best for 90% road driving and highway

a body lift and a set of 33s would look sweet and would not affect stock feel of the truck. As for tires i think the Nitto Terra Grapplers or the Toyo Open Country AT are both very good all around tires from what i have heard.
Good luck

Here is my 3inch Body lift with 33x14's i think it is pretty much a perfect combo... The 14inch wides tires do still rub a little so, if you don't want rub go with 33x12's...

As for handling, you shouldn't feel any change with the body lift, i didn't... Now i have Hotckis Rear Trailing arms and Edlebrock IAS Performer Shocks, with plans for Hotchiks Sway Bars soon...

You won't notice much if any of a change in handling from stock to a 3'' body lift.If you want to run a taller tire and still hold a good gas mileage than find a thinner tire like what lord aries is saying.Instead of 14" wide find 12" or even 10's.
