Can anyone give me some good advice on where to buy an RCD 6" lift for my 02 Avalanche 4x4, and where to get it installed in the Atlanta Area? ??? All help appreciated.

I know where to buy the lift but I too need a good place to have it installed. I'm looking to install a 4" lift though.

Do you off-road in the North GA mountains?

I think I have found where to by the lift I want from, but still havent made up my mind which one to get. Right now I have it narrowed down to RCD, Fabtech, and Rancho. I would say Fabtech is in last place. As for off roading I go across the state line in North Carolina. My family is from the town of Franklin. There are plenty of great places to drive your truck and good camping too. By the wya which lift are you thinking about? The Rancho? That 4x4 shop up in Norcross gave me a price of $2621.00 for the Rancho 4" installed. Still trying to recover from the sticker shock. Nice looking pics of your truck. I have the 4x4 also. I still cant figure out the difference between mine and a Z71. I have the gold bow tie mats, 17" tires, skid plates, you name it, it's on there.

I had to buy Skids, Tires and the bowtie mats. I want the 4" RCD. Maybe we can figure out how to get a group discount if we get some folks to go in with us. Do you know about the AV club here in Atlanta? We have a 4x4 run on Dec. 7'th and Robert and I are going next weekend to find some good 4x4 place for that run. Are you interested in going?

The group discount sounds good to me Sandman. I have been thinking the RCD is the way to go too, only I think I want the 6". Do you know if you can run 33" tires on the 4" lift ? I know some of the guys do with the 4" Rancho lift, but from what I've read its closer to a 5.5 ?I would like to get together with you guys but cant on the 7th. Company Christmas party. I do have some cool places for some rides though.

Well guys, I'm from Dalton, Georgia and I've been in the same situation just trying to find a place that sells lifts. I know that there is one place in Cave Springs, GA (near LaFayette, up here in my area) which is called "Spicer." I don't know what products they sell or anything like that, but I know that alot of people around here who have lifts have gone through them and my local truck shop recommended them because he said they were able to get better prices than he was. May be worth checking into. Also, I know there is a place located somewhere in the Metro-Atlanta area. I don't know where but the name is "Off-Road Specialists." Maybe you can find the phone number and see. Anyway, hope this helps you guys out. Later.

I'll certainly check this place out. Thx for the info.

Hey guys,

I kinda know about the North Ga chapter but as I'm in college, its tough for me to get away for the weekends. Email me sometime you guys are gonna let loose and I'll try to make a run. How's the lifting process going in North Ga???? Anyone, I checked with a place in Rock Springs, GA called Spicer and they quoted like 4500, lift, wheels and tires and all. I couldn't see dropping that on a lift and all. Although, I'D LOVE IT!
