I have an automatic 2007 5.3L Avalanche

Ran five times last night at Cecil COunty Dragway

1/4 time ranged from 16.5-16.9

no spare tire
no bed mat
cargo covers on
tailgate up
with almost a full tank
ran with Trac control OFF and 2wd

i don't know how the 2007 avalanches are supposed to run but im disappointed

there was a stock 2006 Pathfinder there and it ran 16.3

what times am i supposed to have? :help:

i know i can do better with less gas in the tank

will post time slips soon

That doesn't sound all that bad. You have to remember these trucks are HEAVY pigs. They weigh close to 6K lbs and that's a lot of weight to get moving. You probably don't have the 4.10 gears either.

That's pretty much what my '04 does, you're going to have to throw a LOT of cash at it even to get it into the 13s.

Yeah dude, you are dealing with a very heavy truck. But maybe do some mods and go back and run some more.... a good exhuast, cold air intake, and computer tune might knock a couple of tenths off....and yes ditch those 23s next time.

How many miles?  You'll pick up some after 10k.
