Just wondering if anyone wanted to get together today or tomorrow in Durango. Spork_Driver and I just rolled in to town and will be hanging out for a couple days before going to Moab for some play time with the toys (Yamaha Bruin and Suzuki DRZ400). Later.

I can't make it over to Durango to meet up with you but if you guys are passing through Denver let me know a couple of days ahead and I'll see if we can't get a few folks together for dinner.

Yup, April 6th. This is a very short vacation with alot of miles. The joy of working inside the time constraints of Spring Break.

Cool... are you staying anywhere in Denver?? We can find a restaurant somewhere near where you are staying.? I know Hooters is like the default place to go for Avs but with it being Good Friday and all...? >:D?

Anybody up for mexican food? :abuelito:? I know people from out of town always seem to know about Casa Bonita but from a local point of view... their food is awful.? :D:

We've also have Old Chicago's pizza and 110 beers... GMAN will vouch for them!

Right on! You listen to the FOX!?! I'll try to make it but i have to work that day and I don't know what else is going on.

Think we'll have to pass on Mexican. As far as where we're staying... we'll be pulling our room behind the Av ?:) ?Figured we crash at a truck stop or Walmart after dinner. And Hooters is one of those places that makes every Friday Good Friday. ?>:D ?But seriously, anywhere works that has steak and/ or burgers works for us.

Or the pizza sounds good too. Someplace we can park would be cool. For what it's worth, I'm actually pretty goodat maneuvering this thing.

Well there is a Walmart about a mile south of this Old Chicago just off of Highway 285 (aka Hampden Ave) and Wadsworth Blvd.

Old Chicago in Lakewood

The Walmart is at Quincy and Wadsworth.

If you want to park at Walmart we could pick you up and take you over to Old Chicago.  Actually our church is right between the two you could probably park there without any trouble.

Old Chicago looks good. I looked at some maps and don't see any problems with parking there. Only thing I don't know right now is how long it'll take to get there from Grand Junction. What time do we want to meet up?

How about 6:00?? That should give you plenty of time to drive from Grand Junction.

Just found out from my wife that she'll be taking tomorrow off so we can meet earlier if you like.

For some reason, I want to say it takes about 4-5 hours from Junction to Lakewood.  Roads should be good enough not to be a problem.

Thats what I was thinking... though it might take a little longer towing a trailer.  Hopefully the weather moving through right now won't slow them down too much.

Will you be able to join us tonight Mike?

We're finishing wrapping things up here just north of Moab. As soon as we get the tiys loaded up we'll be headed out to Grand Junction for parts on on to Denver. I'm figuring 6:00 should still be safe.

I have to see what the boss has on our social calendar...  you will be just up the street from us (from KenCaryl)

Wow, I just found this thread!

We will be at the Fairgrounds, if we can, we can swing by on our way home.  We are setting up a huge rodeo for the high school to run this weekend (nice weather to rodeo in, eh) so we will be quite muddy if we make it, but as long as the beer is cold...

We will do our best.

Chris

Hey Chris... hope you can join us!  Just FYI they're just leaving Grand Junction now so we'll be looking to push back the time a little.  They'll be an hour or so late barring any weather slow downs.  Heck we may just show up and hang out until they make it!

East Bound and Down......and 130 miles to go.

LOL!? Looks like dry roads until you hit the Loveland Pass/Eisenhower Tunnel until you're just outside Denver really.

Thanks for the link.  What do you guys put in the fuel here?  Just climbing one of the "small" hills and looked down to see that we were doing the posted speed limit.  Good Avy.
