2002 avalanche z71 sunroof wont seal.

I just got 2002 avalanche, was told the sun roof wasn't working but old owner didn't know why. It does not close, looks slightly lifted just barely that inside you would think it closes. When I push the open button it click click clicks,and when you hit close nothing. Is there a good place to start to identify my problem?

It leaks when going through the car wash. That's how I found out its more serious than I could see. I know the motors fail, and that I may have to dig into the headliner I would like some quick test to get it fixed soon. Thank you to anyone who answers my thread.

Thanks I will check it out. You think then the motor may be toast?? Is there anyway to get the roof to seal manually??

Tried to synchronize but just makes a horrible clicking sound. Any ideas on the clicking from your experience

Maybe something jammed in the track??

Ever heard of this clicking sound??

I believe the motor actually turns a cable that open and closes the glass, that maybe to clicking.

BTW the 02s are different than the 03 in that Thread so here's the wiring diagram
