Weird groaning noise ??

I have this strange noise coming from my engine compartment from time to time. It usually only happens in the colder months when I take off from a stop and it only lasts for about 5 or 6 seconds. When this happens the Traction Active comes on the dash sometimes and of course the truck hesitates likes its supposed. The thing is the payment is dry and the tires are not spinning to active this but there is a weird groaning noise when this happens.  Does anyone have a clue or had something similar happen with their truck?  Thanks for any help or info.

It was happening to me. It typically indicates a bad wheel speed sensor on one of the front wheel bearings/hubs. I replaced both of mine and haven't had any trouble since.
