Hello, Iowa av owners. i live in Des Moines, southside.
Have all white AV, brother-in-law has an all black, both with 20" wheels. Both have had amber drls for about a year. Have not really seen to many with amber drl mod yet. I have noticed there are alot of Avs in the dsm area. They are probablly not aware of the club. have been out of the loop for awhile. Computer problems, moving to new house. Want to get into cruises this summer. I will keep in touch.  would like also to get into car shows with other members.

Hi CHG4ABUK!  I'm glad to see you finally said 'HI' to us.  Things might be a little slow as far as GTG's go in Iowa right now, but maybe it will pick up on spring.  Keep in mind that you can always come over to IL when we have a D&B meet.  We might be doing a Casino trip in Jan or Feb.  Hope to meet you and your AV soon!

Hello!  We live south of the Bluffs off what used to be State Hwy 275 and is now Wabash Boulevard.  Bye-bye 55 MPH soon.

Keep an eye on the Nebraska forum.  MAB leads events out of Omaha occasionally.  That group is mod-crazy and have some incredible trucks.

I've suggested a Wednesday night at Rush City in the parking lot south of Cinema Center accessible via either 84th or Center in Omaha.  In addition to the hot rods and muscle cars, there have been occasional appearances by Ford and Dodge pickups.  Car fanatic weather is here so detail your trucks and I'll keep everyone posted.

I'm now going to research this whole amber DRL thing.  If the Iowa contingent is interested, I better catch up.

 Hello everyone,

 Just hit the 2 week mark with my new 02 Z71... And I love it !
I have always drove 1/2 or 3/4 ton   trucks/tahoes/ or my favorite was suburban ! Anyway I traded my 99 Suburban for this and was a little gun shy at first. We drove it for around two hours on a Saturday morning and we were sold after the first couple of minutes !
 We went back to the dealer  and worked out a good deal. They told me the reason  I liked  it so much is that it rides on the Suburban chassis.
 My wife likes it so much  I have to make excuses to drive it !
I did put on  grille insert,exhaust tip, and tires... and love it even more !
 BTW Someone let me know when the next "meet" is...

What's up Iowa peeps...I gots me an 02 z71.. Love the hell out of these things.  I just put in my Amber DRLS, some black westin bars, a new set of ARE RT-S 20" wheels  (in black, of course!) with  Cooper Disccovery A.Ts....working on the STS remote turbo system by end of summer (winter project)  hope to have some pics up soon.  Good to see an Iowa board....we need to get something together out at Saylorville or something.  Do some bbq and bring your boat/jet ski deal...I work at Bob Brown Chevrolet Truck Center, so if anyone is looking for good deals on Avy's I'm your hook up guy.

HELLO!!  I'm a recent Iowa State grad and I finally bought my dream truck!!  My 2006 Victory Red Chevy Avalanche!!  All the bells and whistles that you can think of, except the luggage rack and the running boards.  I got it up in Waterloo on 1/5/06.  I'll be moving to Decatur, IL for a couple months for training for my new job but I hope to return to Iowa.  I have been looking at this truck for a long period of time and always had my sights set on one.  This is the ultimate tailgating vehicle and I can't wait for long road trips.  This is ONE COOL TRUCK!!
