INterior rear view mirror issues

Good day everyone, i have searched the existing topics and haven't seen any posts about the issue i'm having.

I have an 04 z71 avalanche. Over the past several months i have noticed that the temperature reading and direction of travel display has been sporatic. If it's on when i start the truck it stays on and vise versa, if it doesn't display when the vehicle starts it doesn't come on as the vehicle warms.

Has anyone else experienced a similar problem? Any solutions that someone might offer i am thankful.

Erratic operation could be loose or dirty contacts at the mirror....try removing and reinserting the electrical connector on the back of the mirror.
