 When I bought my 02 AV I did a very thorough inspection and found some loose body exterior pieces and a loose grill part. Further inspection revealed some broken retainer clips. Went to the dealer and was blown away at the cost of the clip needed for a right front cladding cover. They wanted $6.96 each. Local auto parts houses have crap unless all you want is the universal "xmas tree" clips. Those would not work. Lo and behold Rock Auto has them all. Go to "Tools/Universal Parts, Body Exterior, Retainer Clip and then I went to Rocker Panel Retainer Clip and there they were in two sizes and color coded for size. $2.52 each and cheap freight if can wait 5-6 days. Maybe this can help someone else out there that needs these little boogers.  :B:

ebay has them too  (y)

??? Are you able to look up what you want like a parts catalog? Or do you just type in clips and scroll thru all the pics that show up? Being from the automotive and light truck repair shop industry I like catalogs that I can look up by application and pics. Needs to be easy for old guys like me.  :B:

I typed Avalanche body clips and it was on the first page  (y) you can then narrow it down to buy it now on the side and then you can narrow it dowon to us sellers only  (y) then you dont have to wait on the slow boat from china on something

 Thank you for that info, really. I guess I will try it again. Are you able to see freight charges right then?  ???

freight charges and estimated delivery dates on most of them... you can also narrow it down to which ones have free shipping  (y)

This site has most of the clips needed.. Just put in the GM part #, you get a box of 15-25 for for the price of 1 or 2 at the dealer.. If you don't have the part # you can do a visual search and match it up, lots of other good stuff to..

(y) That is the exact clip I found. So that price is for a box of 15. I could order those and corner the market here in Eugene for AV clips! Thanks!  :B:

This is another common one holding the cladding on, get them also before you need them..

Keep it up Randy, I love info ahead of time instead of after the fact. With any vehicle there are pattern problems and needs. I like to spend a little and have a little inventory instead of the maddening proposition of having to wait around for something you need and want now. Especially if the time and weather is right when you want to do it. Again, thanks!  :B:

Randy, these are the ones you want over the other for these have the rubber washers on them.  (y)

I know, I allready have them and use them... They both have differant uses..

??? When I ordered the clips from Rock Auto there were two choices that the pics looked the same and the hole size was the same, 7/16", and stem size the same, 9/16" but the only difference was the color. One was white and one was green. Anyone know what the difference is and why the color choice? I ordered both to be covered and see no difference except the color. HMMMMM!?  :E:
