I hope this is in the right section but I pulled my 04 avalanche tune via hp tuners and noticed that the timing is pretty low from the factory, I just need to know what a safe number is to run and if anyone has a full chart showing how much you advanced it and where that would be great.

I don't know what the numbers are, but your AV has a knock sensor so as long as you don't go way too far it should be safe.

I advanced it 3 deg and noticed knocking so I put the timing tables back to stock and tuned my tranny, firmed up the shifts, etc instead.

Had my HP Tune done by superwagon might PM him. For some tips.

He did mine as well. The torque management pulls time at dead start so you have to remember that or disable it. Even then I was not able to go above 13 degrees. Other factors will play such as air flow in/ out and air temps.
