2 wheel drive or 4 wheel drive ???

I think Z66 Butch can help you with this.

Here are some of my options. I'm kind of thinking of going with the DJM.

1. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/McGaughys-Lowering-Kit-2-3-Chevy-Avalanche-11018-_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQfitsZModelQ3aAvalancheQ201500QQhashZitem5d2d9e0fa3QQitemZ400197291939QQptZMotorsQ5fCarQ5fTruckQ5fPartsQ5fAccessories

I was also thinking of buying this

On turns the truck has a good amount of body roll. I dont know if once i lower it it'll go away. Or if i need to buy the anti roll kit.

I always like Belltech, I would go with 2" drop spindles in the front and 3" drop springs with drop shock brackets in the rear. This will give you a good ride and come in at budget or even less if you are a good shopper. If you mess with your torsion bars much you can get a rough ride. You will need an alignment.....

OR if you may want to go lower in the future:

There are always coupons out there from Stylin Trucks, you should be able to get free shipping at least, search for them!

For my money Belltech rear springs ride the best!

Still researching on lowering kits. How would air bags do compare to a lowering kit? Air bags that would only allow the truck to lift and maybe drop. Nothing to play with.

Air bags are great however I don't think that you will get them with your budget. Bags, pumps hoses and someone with good experience installing them is expensive.......

You are right it would be more like 2-3 G's. Okay so I found a local place that would sell/install DJM kit 3-3 for 700. What do you guys think?

What Kit? Don't get talked into the lowering keys for that price. If it is the dropped control arms, I don't have any experence with them and would be interested to hear how they ride and how easy it can be aligned.

The parts that I linked for you (Belltech) are not hard to install. I am sure that you can do the rear yourself and most any good garage can do the front. Belltech rear springs have the best ride in other forums that I read.......

Man those wheels are sweet, I'm thinking about getting those in the near future. What size r they??
My 08 sitts on 2/3 mcgaughys spindles in the front and djm springs in the back. But I get a nasty wheel hope on a reverse turn. I did this outside myself just paid to get a from alighment.

Wheels are 24, I have some djm 3" springs but my truck bounces way too much. I'm thinking of going back to stock.

For a quality air bag install you're looking at closer to $4,000+.  Beltech and dim both offer different spring rates that can firm up the ride a little. Just stay away from their heavy duty drop springs unless you plan on towing a lot.
