Adding XM to 02 Avalanche
«

I am wanting to add XM to my 02 Avy connecting to my stock head unit. Does anyone know of an "XM module" or better way of achieving this without purchasing a standalone FM modulated unit?

I think that has been asked before badazz_z and no one has been able to do it.

YES... add a adapter that gives you AUX input using RCA cables....
that is what I did ... think it is called a
PAC
PIE GM-AUX9 or something..
PIE = Precision Interface Electronics
plugs in back of radio and gives you 2 rca input cables...
GO to radio shack and buy RCA to Mini stereo connector doohickey.. and you are good to go...
I use XM2GO radio
Hit AUX on HU to listen to what ever you plug those cabels into..

I already know I am doomed for the OnStar upgrade so I was hoping I could at least get XM. Thanks ygmn I will look at the XM2GO radio. I wasn't sure if one could get an add-on module to plug into the head unit and control it from there or not.
