The plans have been finalized!!!  The Southern Nights Avalanche Meet Group Dinner will be held on Saturday, May 20, 2006 at 6:30 p.m. at Ditto Landing in Huntsville.  Ditto Landing is a Marina/Campground approximately 15 miles from the Hampton Inn.  I went out today and reviewed the Camper's Pavilion which we will be utlizing and was extremely pleased.  It has been extremely difficult to procure space for our Group Dinner for multiple reasons, the main one being that Graduation Commencements are all scheduled for the weekend we will be in town.  Enough about that.  Dreamland BBQ will be catering the Group Dinner.  They will be serving BBQ Ribs, Chicken, Chopped Pork with Baked Beans, Cole Slaw and Potatoe Salad with both sweet and unsweet Iced Tea to wash it all down with.  To finish up, Banana Pudding.

The cost will be $15 per person and will be collected at Registration when you receive your Welcome Bag.  We have guaranteed 100 people, so EAT UP!!!  Parking will be available immediately adjacent to the Pavilion and bathrooms are attached to the Pavilion.  Immediately following the Group Dinner, we will have the Awards Ceremony and continue with the Raffle.  Ditto Landing is excited to Host our event and is eager to see the Lights & Glow Show that we will have.

You can view Dreamland's menu and all of their locations at www.DreamlandBBQ.com.  Ditto Landing can be researched at www.DittoLanding.com.

I apologize for the delay in making this announcement, but I trust all will understand the dilemma I have been up against.

Is it May yet?????

Yummy...Dreamland.  If you haven't tried it...its well worth the FedEx cost to have some sent to you.  No, really, they do that.

That's the greatest place for the dinner.  Everyone will be pleased with the facility, the surroundings and the views.

Thanks a milion!

would it have anything to do with AFPD 40-1 (that might not be right, trying to find the AF equivalent to AR 600-9)

FYI...  Dreamland BBQ was #15 in Stuff Magazine's top BBQ places in the U.S. (June 07 edition, page 96-97)
