Anyone out there have any advice to increase response without spending hundreds? Thanks in advance

I can speak to my 07, I believe most of our Avalanches are computer controlled everything. The ECU & TCM are back to back in my engine compartment near fuse box.
Reading most owners wanting power & response get the odb2 programmers.
Some have pre set changes & others allow you to make personalized adjustments.
The factory settings are for fuel economy & normal driving.
My luck I'd change factory settings & something would go wrong 🤦‍♂️. But many owners have had good reviews on increased throttle response/shifting etcetera.

I've looked into them but unsure which brand is best and easiest to work with.

I haven't tried for my truck, maybe after I figure out my transmission communication/voltage issue & a small evap leak.
I bought it with a muffler changed not stock louder meaner sound than others. I added k&n air filter & oil catch cans after drivers side valve cover upgrade/fix.
I got deep transmission pan to add fluid volume for towing can help keep temperature down. I don't want to go as far as added transmission cooler unless I start seeing hi temperature during towing.
Diablo seemed to be brand most I've read about here in the club posts.
Good luck finding one you will try.

I've been using a Superchips tuner with good results, only takes a few minutes to switch between several canned tunes. I also add a Sprint Booster to take the lag out of the accelerator pedal.

I may have found the electronic gremlin has plagued my 2007.
Idiot previous owner must have spliced ground wires near steering column knuckle.
They used epoxy or glue inside heat shrink, worst electrical repair I've ever seen.
Twist cap would have worked better.
I repaired with soldier splice heat shrink, fingers crossed it resolves the power fluctuations to modules & sensors.
Pictures show the cut out connection the person tried🤦‍♂️

Although I believe I still need to locate the ground wire between ecu and evap purge valve. I have a feeling that it may not be getting signal to close or its weak & partially closing?
I tried new purge valve and after cleaning and testing original with 12v battery original is functional.
I switched charcoal canister as precaution don't want to find pieces in evap hoses like read in other posts.
Today I get to locate & test that ground if I can.
